Biography for Thomas R. Hokr, MSFS®, CLU®, ChFC®
For Tom, helping people make the most of the financial assets has been his passion for almost 30 years. Tom enjoys guiding his clients as they implement strategies to meeting their financial goals.
As a trusted advisor and founding partner, Tom uses the combined talents of six CPAs, two attorneys, one CLU® and ChFC®, one CFA® and two CFP®s to create and manage his clients financial plans, minimize their taxes, help increase their savings, fee-based asset management and reviewing his estate issues to address each and every hole that could sink their financial ship.
His clients consist of retired individuals, 401(k) participants, small business owners, business executives, and hard-working families. Tom’s minimum account is $250,000 for new clients, with some exceptions for referrals and clients that work with him on a flat fee.
Professional development is essential in order to excel in one’s business. The American College is known as the preeminent college for Professional development of the Financial Services Professional. This is precisely why Tom’s professional credentials; the CLU® – Chartered Life Underwriter and the ChFC® – Chartered Financial Consultant; and a Masters Certificate in Income and Estate Taxation, were earned from the American College in Bryn Mawr, PA.
Tom graduated from St. John’s University in Collegeville MN 1972 with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Classical Languages. From 2009 to 2010, Tom served as the President of the St. John’s National Alumni Association. Tom is the Past President of the Rotary Club of Brooklyn Park Rotary; he served in numerous Leadership Roles for Rotary District 5950. Tom is a 4th Degree of the Knights of Columbus. Tom and his wife Mary enjoy travel and weekend road trips in their mobile cabin, a convertible.
